There is a public information meeting, July 31, 2019, from 5 PM to 7 PM regarding the public comments and concerns about the environmental issues associated with the proposed Kings Area Rural Transit (KART) station project. The meeting will be held at the Civic Auditorium, City of Hanford, 400 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA
We have some proposed changes to most of our routes and will be holding 3 public hearings on these.
The changes include removing and adding stops, changing schedules and removing a route. Many of these changes will help speed up and optimize service.
Public Hearings to discuss changes and receive public comments will be:
- March 27, 2019 @ 3:30 PM
- April 17, 2019 @ 3:30 PM
- May 22, 2019 @ 3:30 PM
All public hearings will be held in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, Kings County Government Center 1400 West Lacey Boulevard, Hanford CA 93230.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE KINGS COUNTY AREA PUBLIC TRANSIT AGENCY
Notice is hereby given that the Kings County Area Public Transit Agency (KCAPTA) and Kings County Associations of Governments (KCAG) will hold Public Hearings in pursuant to Public Utilities Code Section 99238.5. The meetings will be for the purpose of soliciting comments on the unmet transit needs that may exist within Kings County and that might be reasonable to meet by establishing or contracting for new public transportation or specialized transportation services or by expanding existing services. Unmet public transportation needs are defined as, at a minimum, transportation services which are not provided for person who do not have access to private vehicles, or other forms of transportation, due to age, income, or disability, for the purpose of medical care, shopping social/recreational activities, educations/training and employment. A finding of no unmet transit needs must make specific reference to the effort undertaken in development of the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP), to identify the public transportation needs of the transit dependent, especially the elderly, disabled and poor. The hearings will be held at the Kings County Board of Supervisors Chambers, Administration Building, Kings County Government Center, 1400 W Lacey Blvd. Hanford, CA 93230 on the following dates and times:
