Policies

Conduct:
To keep the bus ride enjoyable for all of our riders, smoking, loud music, abusive or inappropriate language and inappropriate behavior is not permitted.

Food & Drinks:
To keep our buses clean, food and drinks are not allowed on the bus.

Senior & Disabled Seating:
As a courtesy to senior citizens and riders who have disabilities, please save seats near the front of the bus for their use.

Carry-On Items:
Limit carry-ons to the size and number you can easily handle. No flammable or hazardous items are allowed on the bus.

Lost & Found:
Any items that are found on the bus should be given to the bus driver. If you lost something, please call us at 559-584-0101 and provide us with the date and time you lost the item, the route (or Paratransit), and a complete description of the item.

Please note that KART is not responsible for any lost, damaged or stolen items.

Animals:
Animals are allowed on KART buses; they must remain on the floor without blocking the aisle or on their owners’ laps. If an animal’s behavior threatends the safety of the driver or other passengers, the customer and their animal will be asked to exit the bus with NO refund of fares paid.

Holidays:
KART does not operate on New Year’s Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day. KART operates on Saturday service hours on Martin Luther King Day, the day after Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve Day and New Year’s Eve Day.
