Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)


Notice is hereby given, pursuant to 49 C.F.R. 26.45 that the Kings County Area Public Transit Agency, (KCAPTA) has proposed an overall goal of 0.06% for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises participating in U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Transit Administration (FTA) assisted contracts for the triennial period FY 2022-2024.

The proposed goal and its rational are available for public inspection during normal business hours at KCAPTA Administrative Office through July 16, 2021. KCAPTA Administrative Office is located at 610 W 7th Street, Hanford, CA 93230. KCAPTA will accept public comment on the proposed goal through July 16, 2021. Title VI Policy Statement

The Kings County Area Public Transit Agency (KCAPTA) is committed to compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all related regulations and directives.

KCAPTA assures that no person shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, gender, age, or disability be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any KCAPTA service, program, or activity.

The Agency also assures that every effort will be made to prevent discrimination through the impacts of its programs, policies, and activities on minority and low-income populations. In addition, the department will take reasonable steps to provide meaningful access to services for persons with Limited English Proficiency.
